Rahni Sadler interviews Kate and Gerry McCann: "Did you kill your daughter?" (Full response)

Rahni Sadler, interview with Gerry and Kate McCann

DATE: unknown, YouTube video uploaded April 2017

This is the infamous one where Rahni asks:  “Did you kill your daughter ?”

Online, notably on YouTube, we can find versions of this interview and find informed and ill-informed people discussing it.
In each case the video contains a short clip as a base for the presentation
Initially the Press told us that the answer to Rahni’s question had been
Gerry  M:  “No.  That’s an emphatic No”
Later a longer version appeared, the first half of the answer, where “..so, No and that’s an emphatic No,” was shown as the final sentence.
With the passage of time it has become apparent that both were deliberate manipulations – by editing – of the Whole Truth, and more recently we found another part of the full answer where that phrase was shown at the beginning, and was followed by an even longer exculpatory statement.

The first part of the answer is to be found here

The second part of the answer is to be found here introducing Peter Hyatt’s analysis

and a shorter version at.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJXOVRCa4lk

A diligent researcher has managed to splice the two halves together.  Preparations of an accurate transcript was not easy, because of the McCanns’ impenetrable regional accents, and the inarticulacy, mangled grammar and incoherency when they are under pressure.
Our joint best attempt at the transcript is here .  People may find other interpretations of half swallowed words and interruptions

SF:  “Did you kill your daughter ?”

GM:  “No, no, never. [Pokes nose and eye]. There’s nothing with any logic that could, you know, you would have to start with, why, you know, how, when, who, there's just simply, you know, the answer to any of these things is that there's nothing to suggest anything, so no.  That’s an emphatic No.
I mean the ludicrous thing is, erm, what, I suppose what’s being purported from Portugal is that Madeleine died in the apartment by an accident and we hid her body. Well, when did she have the accident and died, because, the only time she was left unattended was when we were at dinner so . . .
If she died then how could we have disposed . . . hidden her body.  You know, when there's an immediate search, it's just nonsense.  So, and if she died when we were in the apartment or fell and did some..[thing ??] , why would we, why would we cover that up ?”

KM:  Overlaps slightly with GM:  GM’s words are lost.
“And it then gets more ludicrous that we’ve obviously hidden her, yer know, somewh.. [?where??]  incredibly well that nobody’s found her, in fact we hid her so well that we then decided we’d move her in a car which we hired weeks later and, yer know, it’s just ridiculous…”

This has now been uploaded to You Tube, and so far as we know this is the first time the public have had the opportunity to see the whole thing, uncut.

I shall refrain from attempting to dissect and interpret the answer myself, but throw it open not only to experts but to those with experience of the real world – particularly to those who have had children of their own, or dealings with children, adolescents, (and criminals) and who learned to see through the little fibs and white lies, and to interpret non-verbal clues like touching parts of the face, notable nose and ears.    To those who are used to understanding what is true and what amounts to frantically trying to change the subject by gibbering about nonsense.
Detectives, police officers, parents, teachers investigators,  . . .  the list is a long one.

Good luck
And many thanks to those who helped unravel this.  You know who you are.
